Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This policy explains what information is collected on nickbarrettofficial.com, why, and what choices you have. It applies to this site only.
Who we are
This site is operated by Nick Barrett (Solba Records), based in Malta. For any privacy question or request, contact nickbarrettbookings@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Email address — if you sign up for updates via the "Get the updates first" form.
- Usage data — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, collected via Google Analytics once you accept cookies.
- Advertising data — interactions with this site collected via the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel once you accept cookies, used to measure and improve ad performance.
- Show/event data — the Shows section pulls public event listings from Bandsintown; no personal data is exchanged unless you interact directly with their widget.
Cookies
On your first visit you'll see a banner asking whether to accept non-essential cookies. If you decline, Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel do not load. The email signup form (MailerLite) and Bandsintown show listings are considered core to the site's function and are not gated behind this banner. You can clear your choice at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site.
How we use it
- To send you updates about new music, shows, and news, if you've subscribed.
- To understand how visitors use the site so it can be improved.
- To measure and refine advertising on Meta platforms (Facebook/Instagram), including building audiences of people who've visited this site.
Third-party services
This site uses the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- MailerLite — email signup and delivery.
- Google Analytics — site traffic analytics.
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel — advertising measurement and retargeting.
- Bandsintown — show listings widget.
- Netlify — website hosting.
Data retention
Email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Analytics and advertising data are retained according to each provider's own default retention periods (typically 14–26 months).
Your rights
If you're in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing, under GDPR. To exercise any of these rights, email nickbarrettbookings@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with Malta's Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC) or your local supervisory authority.
